A new design week – Stockholm Creative Edition

September 23-29 - 2021

Stockholm Creative Edition is the new annual independent design week showing the best and most progressive Swedish design and things related. From September 23 – 29 2021, an event completely dedicated to select Swedish design is being arranged in Stockholm – the first of what will become an annual happening. With the capital city’s vibrant silhouette as a backdrop, showrooms, studios, galleries and pop-up spaces will be opening up to welcome people interested in design.

A WARM WELCOME TO OUR SHOWROOM & TEXTILE LAB

During the Stockholm Creative Edition, Astrid’s showroom will be transformed into an inspiring textile lab with interesting combinations of colour and structure. The Textile Lab exists to make Astrid’s tactile world fully accessible. We are eager to share their unique way of working, providing a hands-on experience of the fabrics we love so much. The visitors will be able to create their own fabric concepts and mood boards based on their own ideas, needs and interior projects. During the week, we will present our new fabrics together with exciting projects and collaborations with a focus on reuse and recycling:

CHALET
Chalet is a rustic, heavy and strong upholstery fabric in vibrant and rich colours. The mix of linen and wool makes a perfect combination that takes advantages of the great properties of both the wool and the linen fiber. Chalet is most suitable for upholstery and decoration and will for example be beautiful on a headboard.  Come by and experience Chalet on our new soft stools in the showroom!
ARLON
A sophisticated spinning process makes an intermingled structured yarn with a natural linen look and dry hand feel. The subtle variation of colour in the warp and weft gives it a soft and neutral colour range which will suit any interior to create a calm and elegant atmosphere.
LEVANTO
Levanto is one of the fabrics we produce based on a small number of warps that can be varied in many structures and colours. Starting from the same warp and weaving with yarn dyed threads counteracts overproduction to fill up production quotes. Levanto is woven in a binding called sablé, it gives a matte surface with a fine structure. With three different coloured warp and a variety of weft yarn, a fabric is created where one colour can contain contrasting tones while another can have a more even colour tone. For Stockholm Creative Edtion, we want to show the process of producing a new colour map and show 20-30 different colours that are under development. It will be a colourful and contrasting collection of fabrics.
