Astrid at Stockholm Furniture Fair C09:30
4-8 February 2025
Astrid celebrates creativity and innovation at Stockholm Furniture Fair creating an inspiring space for craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability.
We are thrilled to welcome you to our stand at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025, where quality, creativity, and possibility take the center stage. We’re presenting not only our latest product releases but also fresh perspectives on textile interiors. Drawing on our deep experience and understanding of textiles, we aim to showcase their many roles as practical problem solvers, carriers of beauty, and everything in between.

Our stand is divided into three zones: Astrid Creative Space, where we host workshops with Eva Schildt & Lisa Edwards, Lovisa Heinius and Karin Bjurström. Including a paneldiscussion with Rebecca Zelwak, Joakim Nyström and Lisa Grape hosted by Lisa Marie Mannfolk. Our Textile Lab, where visitors can explore all our collections; and a News Exhibition, introducing our latest fabrics. For the Textile Lab and the News Exhibition, Astrid has collaborated with Kasthall to create several rugs—a unique Astrid interpretation of Kasthall’s classic models. On Thursday, February 6th, at 4:00 PM, Astrid’s CEO Anna Boustedt will have a discussion with Kasthall’s CEO Mirkku Kullberg about why authentic materials and timeless design are more important than ever. The conversation will be moderated by Hanna Nova Beatrice in Kasthall’s showroom at Ingmar Bergmans gata 4.
“This year’s new products beautifully reflect how we work with product development. We mix ‘working with what you have’ with functionality and innovation. Morandi and Nebbiolo are extensions of previous collections, we are introducing several new colours to Nicola and Prato. Completely new are the wool fabrics Moritz, made with Norwegian wool, and Pinerola, crafted from alpaca wool, where the materials’ warmth and sound-absorbing properties shine. Ragusa incorporates mechanically processed cotton from old clothes and leftover materials,” says Pia Johansson, product developer and designer at Astrid.
Creative Space
A zone where Astrid has invited creators who work with upcycling, craftsmanship, and innovative techniques to give new life to leftover textiles. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the creators and learn about their processes. During the week, workshops will be held where the creators share their unique approaches and insights.
Textile Lab
A zone dedicated to exploring Astrid’s collections, including this year’s new releases and collaborative collections with Kasthall, where Astrid has created unique

Studio Lovisa Heinius
Studio Lovisa Heinius is run by designer and artisan Lovisa Heinius, who creates decorative objects in textiles, paper, metal, and wood in her Stockholm studio. Lovisa explores the potential of materials by collecting and transforming recycled and unique materials into new creations. Her work is characterized by experiments with light, colors, textures, and proportions.
One of her specialties is the traditional Korean patchwork technique pojagi, where fabric pieces are sewn together into large-scale artworks. This distinctive technique hides the seams, making the front and back identical. Lovisa’s works can be found in various interior settings, including restaurants, offices, and private homes.
At Astrid Creative Space, Lovisa will showcase her pojagi installations. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about Lovisa’s creative process and how she transforms materials that would otherwise go to waste into both decorative and functional designs. Lovisa shares her passion for sustainable craftsmanship and is also set to release a book, published by Natur & Kultur, this fall.
Eva Schildt and Lisa Edwards
Eva Schildt is an internationally acclaimed designer, renowned for her poetic and multifunctional works, often inspired by the organic forms of nature. Her creations range from furniture and textiles to exhibition design and interiors. Eva’s work is featured in collections such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. With a design philosophy that blends playfulness and beauty, she has created iconic products for renowned brands like Svenskt Tenn.
At Astrid Creative Space, Eva collaborates with skilled seamstress and textile decorator Lisa Edwards, who has extensive experience in textile interiors and runs her own business. Together, they present large-scale pleated fabric lamps and drapes that combine transparency and density. Their creations are both sculptural and functional, showcasing the versatility of textiles and their ability to shape atmosphere and elevate the aesthetics and functionality of a space—perfect for both public environments and private homes.
Alice Fine
Alice Fine is led by textile artist and fashion designer Karin Alice Bjurström. After several years in the fashion industry, Karin chose to work in a more sustainable way, focusing on craftsmanship and small-scale production. She aims to expand the perception of plant-based dyeing, demonstrating that it is possible to create colours and patterns without the use of chemicals.
In addition to her own production and artistic projects, Karin also works with interior design and offers courses and lectures on plant-based dyeing. Last year, she published a book on plant dyeing with Natur & Kultur. Karin’s works can be found in offices and at restaurants such as Frantzén and Ekstedt in Stockholm.
At Astrid Creative Space, Karin will present panels made from Astrid’s fabrics, blankets and cushions dyed with natural pigments using techniques she has developed over the past 10 years.

We are proud to be part with our fabrics in other locations at the fair:
Plastic Perspectives
Our fabrics Vittoria, Olivia and Sabrina, in recycled plastic materials, are part of the design for the exhibition in C18:50.
Plastic is a lightweight, cheap, and convenient material. But its ubiquitous presence raises uncomfortable questions: about overconsumption, waste, and the use of fossil resources.
Ten artists ask how, when, and why plastic should be used. Because today, plastic is everywhere on Earth, even visible from space, and impossible to completely remove.
PAPER BAR
We frame the space with our fabrics from the Astrid Archives. The bar designed by Helsinki-based design agency Fyra also serves as a stage for Stockholm Furniture Fair’s talks programme, curated in collaboration with Dezeen and Disegno Journal. Textiles from Astrid frame the space, creating a soft and inviting atmosphere. Seating by Vaarnii and Artek blends modern craftsmanship with iconic design, emphasising sustainability. Ege’s Circle Back carpet ties the space together, showcasing innovative reuse of materials to minimise waste.
